Oh I hate that thing. And yet it cannot kill SCP-682!

that pretty much proves why it's called the hard to destroy lizard.

More like practically indestructible.

I would like to see 682 vs 106 or the heart of darkness.

I don't know. 106 has no record of being killed or being able to be killed, heart of Darkness is unbeatable. And we already know much about 682

Heart of Darkness can withstand immense trauma but seems to be able to recover
106 took 600 50.caliber rounds from a Gau 19 Gatling gun and seven shots from a .50 caliber Anti-Material Rifle to its skull while in its pursuit stage and still didn't go down.
And 682 is in a constant vat of hydracloric acid, which in case you didn't know, a drop of which would melt through your skin, muscle, bone and through the rest of you in a matter of seconds, while eating away at the surrounding flesh (essentially worse than lava).
It's a 3 way of indestructible's. Not to mention that the heart of darkness possesses immense strength with its barbed tendrils, 106 can rip a human in half and then eat the remains, and 682 can breach its containment cell and probably eat a battalion of tanks.

I forgot a lot about the Heart Of Darkness. I don't see him as much of a threat though. 106 might be able to finally kill 682 if given the change, unless 682 can adapt to the attacks like he always does. Another SCP I want 682 to fight is the Flesh That Hates.Β

Considering 682's rapid cellular regeneration, I imagine he'd just rip off the part of his body afflicted and let that be infected while the rest of him grows.
Do you remember the giant crystal that crystallizes anything it touches except for quartz? Well, they used that against 682 in the canon, and the result is that a portion of 682 was crystallized and destroyed, but he still lives.

If that thing canβt kill 682, Iβm not certain what will. The only way I can imagine you could permanently destroy 682 would be to completely destroy everyone of his cells simultaneously.

I don't know if 106 can do that. Maybe Broken God.

I don't think any SCP has that power.
However, perhaps the child of Darkness could do it since it seemingly just eats anything with a shadow.

SCP ... either 017 or 047 if I remember correctly. It's literally a mass of black shadow that will consume anything it finds that has its own shadow.

Does it have the ability to completely disintegrate all cells in a life form of great size in a very rapid amount of time?

It is assumed to be strong enough to end our planet. Only time it was ever used was on the Broken God which led to it being fractured into the pieces the Church Of The Broken God looks for. The Foundation theorize that if the destroy is finished repairs (It was damaged by unknown means), then it could basically destroy our world within a matter of seconds independence day style.

... well then, I guess that would definitely destroy 682 then.
But I feel for the sake of this compare and contrast, we should keep world ending SCP's excluded. Because if it can destroy the planet and all the SCP's on it, it's a given that 682 won't survive.

I think there are many things to test 682 on. I know on the wiki though, there is a SCP that foresaw 682's defeat (Or so I theorize).Β SCP-052 is a time traveling train, while it won't do much damage. SCP-052-6 had claims of the zombie plague as well as the following:Β
"That SCP-βββ can be killed by [DATA EXPUNGED] with a [DATA EXPUNGED] and SCP-βββ. [Permission to try this has been denied by O5-β.]"
If the expunged SCP number is 682, then we finally one step ahead against that over sized gecko.Β

Perhaps. But the future of 682 is very muddled. And it doesn't seem like the Foundation has much interest in killing 682 at the moment. Unlike 096 which is ordered for termination ASAP, 682 is capable of communication and answering many questions for the Foundation. Hence why it's simply being contained.

Quickly, but not immediately. Especially considering how every failed attempt to kill it only results in a severe containment breach which results in the loss of many staff personnel and costs quite a bit to repair.
