‘Amenii Oakwoods will never be a Jedi.’
The towering figure of Master Yarrow loomed just out of sight, he would have his hood up, darkening his face. It was his nature, black fur, black heart, black on black, the panther was a creature of the night. If it were not for his status among a very prestigious family the supported the Order Amenii suspected he would have been stripped of his status long ago. Instead he lurked, it had even been hinted that he had been offered a place on the council, but had turned it down for unknow reasons.

‘…Her lack of material skills, her attunement with the force, is to weak. That the order has begun to accept such recruits is apprentices, and even considers lending them the status of Padawan is a sign of the decadence of the times.’

‘Be careful how you speak of the order Master Yarrow,’ A second voice added, calmer than the first, but Amenii did not recognize it. ‘The council has become paranoid of late. There have been disturbing reports of Sith infiltrators, and, there has even been word of Jedi deserting the Order.’

‘The Council is a farce, a shadow of what it once was.’ Yarrow’s voice was tight and scornful. ‘Those fools who sit there and think that through meditation and divination that they will drive the Sith out of the galaxy. Idiots.’

‘Please, Master Yarrow-‘ The second took on a strained note.

‘Yes, yes. Back to the problem at hand.’ Yarrow sounded irritated. ‘Amenii. This issue, my issue, she is as simple as she is incompetent. I am sure the council forced her upon me in an attempt to humble my attitude towards those the latest generation of Knights.’

‘And you are planning to do something about it?’

‘Perhaps…’ Something menacing touched in that voice. ‘All I need is an excuse, a single reason, and I will ship her off the farming colonies.’

‘…’

The voices trailed off as the two members of the Jedi order moved down the hall. Neither of the two, noticed the small figure lurking behind the pillar and had been listening to the whole conversation.

‘…Never be a Jedi…’ Amenii breathed, she was felt cold. Expelled from the order, and shipped off to some farm colony where the other rejected Padawan’s were sent. The though made her feel sick, and in the spur of the moment she suddenly she wanted to be very close to Nera.

Springing down the corridor she ran with abandon, she did not want the other Padawans see she her tears.

C.S. Notes: And I am finally getting back to this story. There are several panels up ready, I am just filling out the opening part of the story, so people have context to what is happening.
