Description This is only an example of common styles, not the be-all-or-end-all. Have fun designing your own styles.

Common Beard Styles Beards are never cut short, they can be trimmed but it is against breed standards to cut them short. The beards are often bound to keep the horse from eating it while grazing.

Halter Style: The beard is looped at the end around a ring of wood, stone, or metal. Lead ropes can be attached to the ring.
Spiral Braided Style: With this style, strands of the beard are woven in a spiraling braid around the length of the beard.
War Braid Style: The beard is braided close to the underside of the jaw and the remaining loos braid is looped and bound.
War Halter Style: This style is similar to the War Braid, but it has a halter ring woven into the beard.

Common Mane StylesWhile the mane is lion like, there is a section at the withers that is long and silky, this section can be either sheared with the rest of the coat or left after shearing.

Loose Style: The silky mane is left to lay against the shoulder.
Braided Style: The mane can be tightly or loosely braided to keep it out of the way.
Spiral Braided Style: Much like with the Beard, the mane can be braided in a spiral fashion to keep it out of the way.
Full Loop Braid Style: The mane is split into two sections and braided. The ends of these braids are woven together. This can be used as makeshift reins by experienced riders and trained Avalkre.
Partial Loop Braid Style: Like the Full Loop, the Partial Loop you separate the mane into two sections. You only braid one of the sections, folding it back on itself to create a loop that can be used as guidance or a hand hold.

Common Tail StylesMuch like the Beard, the tail can never be cut short. It may be trimmed or thinned, but never cut short.

Loose Style: A loose tail either has no or very little restriction to it and is allowed to move freely.
Bound Style: The tail is either braided, or just wound back upon itself then bound with ribbon or even other parts of the tail. A common style of this is to let the loose part of the tail fall over to cover the bindings. (similar to the style in the conformation image)
Braided Style: The tail can either be fully braided like shown or partially braided in different styles.
