Thanks for your comments. Let me address both of your inquires (Drifting and Approaching Storm) this way. I use the camera asΒ  any other artist uses a sketch pad. I shoot in RAW L at the natural setting, this becomes my sketch. I then take that raw sketch and work it into what I originally invisioned in my head, which may not be what was truely there in the scene. I consider myself to be an artist that chooses toΒ use photography as a medium. This is not anything new most of the well known photographers such as Ansel Adams and Weston worked in this manner. The only difference is they used the darkroom using such tools as enlargers,Β filters, dodge sticks, burning and development technics to achieve the end result, where today we use software as a development tool, the goal is the same, to produce artistic and pleasing images that coresspond to the vision of the artist.

It would be almost impossible for me to just run across the imageΒ I invision, so as any artist I must create that image from my tool kit. Β

hey. Its all good. I never submit anything straight from the camera. Every single work I do is "processed"... I try not to add anything new, but I exaggerate a lot. I am sure some photographers may have a problem with it, but art is art, so I they can bite me.
