Description I am just amazed that these trees are still standing, I have never seen a growth like this before!

Thank you my friend, it is more amazing in person! It is hard to see just how far it extends sideways over the creek before all the growth turns upward!

They're actually dead. I've seen living trees growing like that.

Yeah they are, but they are full of life. There is a hole where one of the dead trunks fell off, it is full of peat moss, mushrooms, and assorted insects! I am just fascinated that after all the high water that they have been exposed to over the years, they haven't been washed out yet. They my be dead, but they are still standing proud.
