That whole orgy scene was my favorite part of the movie!

Now this is something that isn't seen too often. Just something so adorably cute about seeing a (mostly) snake head in a headdress that makes you forget how ridiculous it was at the time.

This would depict the time when Conan, Valeria, & Subotai entered Thulsa Doom's Mountain of Power, where a Cannibalistic Orgy was in progress, overseen by Doom himself. And then turns himself into a Snake in order to escape through the holes in the wall behind him when he realises they've arrived, and there's no guards nearby to help. About halfway there at this point, and the point I like the most.

What I like about the pic is that you've got the look at the point referred to pretty accurate. The colouring is correct, the splayed nose is there, the scales and eyes look right. The headdress design is quite accurate to the Movie too.

The only criticisms I have here are that: The left eye is too far forwards and down relative to the right eye; the full 3436x2526 resolution is completely unavailable leaving 1024x753 as the largest size viewable if my math is right; and it's only a headshot, not a full-body pose.

Still, they are fairly minor criticisms, against an otherwise fantastic piece of Fan-Art that is very thin on the ground.

This is the best comment I've had in a while, thank you so much for an honest and enthusiastic critique! I love this transformation sequence, the use of puppetry and latex in the stretching face and the brilliance of the hands sliding up the sleeves! Again I appreciate your interest!

Kinda curious now, do you have any more Thulsa Doom in the pipeline? Β

Well this does happen to be one of my favourite movies. For both aforementioned reason and the music, the theme, and being the breakthrough role for a certain someone - completed a mere two years later as the T-800.

And yes, the use of animatronics, clever editing work, and building miniature sets is what I believe made this scene work so well.
