Description This is a shot from Jump Creek Canyon, Idaho.
A volcanic rock canyon at the base of the Owyhee Mountains. Within the canyon is a 60ft waterfall. Conditions were not the best for waterfall pics so here is one from the mouth of the canyon.

This place is often abused by visitors. It is not uncommon for me to pack out a grocery sack of garbage left by visitors each visit. Why people visit beautiful places only to desroy them is a pheneomenon I am yet to understand.

It really sucks to have to be everyones mother all the time.
I think it is time to break some legs as ben suggested above.
Something about fear really helps people take action.

Thanks Peter.

Very true man. It will always be up to the ones who care to clean up after the ones who don't.

Volcanic rock is very cool. It hardens with gass pockets which can make for some interesting contrasts. Southern Idaho has loads of it.
I am digging the cam so far. No color casts!
Thanks Dani!

Great shot man. I like this one a lot. Tell me about it with the trash thing. I am getting to the point now that I catch someone doing that they are going to have a survival situation on their hands, because I will break their legs and leave them to fight for their own life in the wilderness.

Remeber how much trash we hauled out of monument valley? People man.. Really make me wonder. Why exactly do they like to visit scenic places when they obviously have no respect for them.

I don't understand, I think that somehow, maybe tv or something, people have just adopted the idea that the outdoors is a place you try to survive by bringing your house to it. Rv's and that sort of thing I do not even understand. I realize some older people who still want to see the world need them for special reasons, but otherwise it is a joke. How are you supposed to absorb anything from nature, it seems to me people are trying to force themselves on nature rather than try to experience it for what it is. WTF? Since when was the wilderness not a living thing just like you? Also when did getting all wasted on booze and leaving your trash everywhere become the way of the self proclaimed "higher" and most important life form. Just goes to show you why the state we are in is the way it is. I personally am sick of it myself. Fed up.

RVs are for people to pretend to have an appreciation for nature. Old people, yes I will look the other way. Its a way to witness but not endure. And say one has been there which seems like a lie.. Through enduring one gains the appreciation for what the scene really is. Chaotic in its own right. Many fear this chaos of the unknown and choose to look through the window to the outside world. And thats why we have RV's. A place for everyone to run off to when things happen outside that they dont quite understand or dont want to have to endure. Plus, they can flick on some football on sattellite TV to forget about it all together.

Amen! I think that it is sad for people who really love nature to have to pick up after people that do nothing but ruin it. Stay home RV people, just stay home. Fill your cities up with garbage and leave the beauty of nature to those that respect and admire it.

Good shot by the way. I love this area. Just wanted to add my two cents

Indeed.
It is too bad this is such an issue. One would think that people have more respect. Sadly this is not the case.

Good thoughts. Think positive, You will not kill members of society Benjamin... It is illegal and not worth it, just breath deep, and try to relax...
