More fun with my OC, Betty Barrett, armed and ready to fight evil.

I'm actually super pleased with the lineart on this. It came out super well, and considering I'm still getting used to full-digital inking, I'm proper chuffed about that. I actually stopped after I finished the lines and stared at it just really pleased with myself and that's a beautiful feeling.

It occurred to me that while I've had and been playing with this character for over a year now, I've actually not done that many full/coloured drawings of her, so I'm probably going to be doing more of that, especially now I'm starting to figure out some of the supporting characters! Equally I want to do more to show off the updated design for the character, in this case, her action outfit without her bomber jacket.
The older version of the design she wore a tank top under the jacket, which at one point I changed to a turtleneck jumper, but that looked a bit baggy and I wanted to keep the silhouette relatively simple and clean. More recently I switched that out for the sleeveless shirt seen here. Nice way to keep the visual of her being physically strong with the muscle tone (and I think I'm getting better at the muscular arms!)
Also new is the wrist device. For scanning stuff, communication, that sort of thing.

The 'art deco' style text is mainly because I've been using a lot of retro sci-fi aesthetics (like the Tesla rings on the blaster and the WWII pilot goggles, among other things), so I felt that font fit the tone. It's a free font called 'Andes' if you're interested.
