Description So...Marianne/Orestes Fasting introduces us all to Emilia Plater, and it is generally agreed that, as tough as it is to imagine Enjolras with *any* woman other than an allegorical representation of France, he'd have to make an exception for Plater. Who is just uber, uber cool. And not just because she cross-dressed in the name of freedom.

I do have a uber crack fic in my head for these two. One day I may even write it. I have a weird feeling I could almost...almost finesse the timing so it works.

Oh, it's so nice to see Enjolras happy! Usually he's all, "Revolution, Revolution, Barricades..."

This is awesome! And weird. Because last year i was studying 1830-1831 uprisings and when i learned about Emilija Plater i instantly thought "Wow, that's Enjolras worthy girl. They would be a cool couple" Too bad i totally forgot about it until today, when i found a topic about that In AbaissΓ© forum and now this painting. Well, enough blabbering, i'll repeat myself once more, this is amazing!! Love that "wind in the hair" detail ;D

Hee! Definitely an after-life thing, now that I pause to think of it. I mean, WHY NOT? But wow, this is really pretty, as I said on Abaisse.

I actually like the idea of these two meeting somewhere in the afterlife... must be an afterlife, Enjolras is so relaxed and Emilia so cheerful. Afterlife!lovers or not - I don't care, but surely good friends.

Yes, that's a point...they could just be comrades in arms! It cracked me up to have Enjolras with his arm slung casually around *anyone's* shoulders!

Yay! Emilia Plater truly is the female Enjolras. This is great!

I so couldn't resist it, even if Plater is overly romantacised in literature and artistic depictions...and I don't have enough girls in my Gallery!

That's a bit of an injoke borrowed from Marianne! She commented that in depictions of Plater, her hair seemed to have the Enjolraic quality of having its own accompanying breeze to romantically ruffle it wherever she went. The two seem to take their own microclimate with them...I wonder if they ever met, would it create the perfect storm?

Hmm.... well if they both have counterclockwise updrafts, it -could- in theory create a decent tornado... or at least a dirt devil.

Then again, I know those are more common here.... given that France is not in a tropical location, therefore few particularly warm, hurricane-creating breezes exist...

...is the romantic wind ruffling wind cool or warm? If they have different temperatures it would create rain, depending on where they stand in relation to the pre-existing--- I'm gonna stop talking now...

Thank you It's totally way out crack, but rather cute to imagine these two together. If you could get *her* out of Poland and *him* out of France!
