here is one of my most favorite clay figures I have ever made! give it up for the OG Queen of the Moon, Queen Serenity! I LOVE how she came out! I originally created her for a commission, but it didn't end up working out after I didn't hear back from the person for a solid month. still kinda salty since I worked so hard on her and I'm so proud of her. Anyway, she is made entirely out of polymer clay! I knew I wanted to do something special with her wings, so I thought it would be cool if I used opalescent clay to make them, and I am SO glad I did! You can see rainbow flecks of color in the light everywhere you look! Although I think they look even prettier IRL and no picture by camera could do it justice. This figure was also the first time I tried a blending technique to make her top and skirt look like a dress and completely seamless! Speaking of her dress, I wanted her to stand out from all of my other Sailor Moon Unicorns (and yes I have more) so I completely DRENCHED her dress in white pearl ex powder, giving it a pearlescent and extra sparkly look!I mixed a bit of white into the metallic silver clay I used on her hair since her hair is more of a pale silver than a hard metallic silver, so it ends up looking softer instead of her hair looking like it was made of metal. As for the giant crescent moon on her bow, I thought it looked too simple so I went and made it swirly! I like adding a lot of attention to detail to anything I make, so there is definitely no shortage of that In here! I'm still new to this thing and couldn't fit all the pictures that I wanted into this, but if you look closely, I also made her earrings and painted the crescent moon in gold on her forehead! I had a lot of fun making this piece even though she never got to go to the home she was intended for. If anyone is interested though, I do have her up on my Etsy store for a discounted price than what I was originally going to charge the commissioner for.
