this...may well be your best piece! Mechs are my bread and butter, but like you, my passion is for all the "peripheral" units, that get overlooked for "MOAR STOMPY ROBOTS!". Awesome work man!

It too bad that the wheeled and tracked vehicles are on the side lines in the series.
I just gotten into Battletech and it would be if you can play as a tank.

That pickup in the background reminds me of a 2013 Toyota Tacoma.

Hahaha!! Oooh man, I'm considering checking out Battletech- that is some incredible abuse that poor Rotunda can put up with! I must say the concept of a fusion-powered, armoured car is unique to me;
something one would see in a James Bond flick! The power it could put out would be quite something.
You've always had a good feel for vehicles- cars, trucks, starships, fighter jets- the Rotunda here is completely 3-dimensional, and the way it careens to the side at a slight angle off the ground is stunning.
I can see how you trifled with the placement of the modified Karnov; it's a large dark thing in the image, and needed special attention. The downward swoop worked out so well!
Aaah, destruction! Your destruction is what every blow-em-up movie needs more of- flying debris and car parts, shattered directional signs, and bits of asphalt and shell shrapnel! All you see in those flicks
are the explosions with not enough of the dirty stuff. Loving the imposing front of the Karnov here- like a tiger upon a rabbit- and the red of the Rotunda was a good choice!
Hilarious and a very fun pic sir

I always thought science fiction should have a fair portion of functionality- not only by appearance, but by definition as well to a degree. The creator doesn't have to be an engineer or a physicist to make it work, but it's gotta sound
a little plausible. That is a shame! For such a popular universe, though, I guess they can get away with a lot.
It reminds me of the stomach-lurching dives that raptors are so well-known for- overall, it boosted the feel of this work a lot.
I know! The more fragmentation and overall destruction the better! Shrapnel is always welcome, hahaha!
Always a pleasure sir-- and I do have a sort of preliminary sitting in the pipeline that I am working on. It is actually nothing impressive, just a set of coloured doodles, but it helps get the art block off.
Cheers!

Ooh a Karnov and a Rotunda. Well if you want obscure BTech units you nailed it my good sir. In fact the only others as obscure as these two that get used by myself on a regular basis are the Hi-Scout and the 135-K
Great imagery here and the Karnov looks awesome. To me the Karnov can be a effective unit if used right. Especially when you use half a dozen of them equipped with a Thumper artillery.
Though there is a hint of irony here too. A ROM operative being attacked by his enemies piloting a ComStar made VTOL. That's got to suck.

Me? I inspired you? Jeez I mentioned my Karnov love ages ago. Good memory sir. Lol.
It's true it does need some love from the fans. It's far more versatile a unit that a simple cargo/troop transporter.
The fact it's ComStar built only proves we guys in white know a good thing when we see it.

This is absolutely badass! And nicely staged, too. Poor sports car - so unfair! But I guess if the gunship don't get em first, that menacing 5-pack behind the car might take the ship down in a flash. It's kill or be killed.
I particularly love the gunship - futuristic in shape and colour yet charmingly old-fashioned because of the propeller engines. I love the 'square jaw' feature of the gunship's fuselage. It reminds me of a thug or a bully you don't want to cross in a bar. It felt that it truly looks like a cargo transport retrofitted into a war plane, and confirmed it when I read your description.
Always love to see your battle scenes - they're full of heat and adrenaline!

Have to admit that I wouldn't mind driving to work every morning like this. Helicopter gunship chase included of course
Yeah, my life's boring.

About 15 years ago, all I wanted for a car was a Rotunda! Who wanted anything else!? I mean, nuclear powered car designed to take Battlemech fire with SRMs and a freaking giant laser! It was the ultimate car!
As far as the pic is concerned, you've really put up the James Bond car feel into this scene! The explosions off the pavement look awesome, the look of the vehicles pop in the pic! Thanks for bringing the Rotunda to life!

Indeed you have! What kind of guy doesn't secretly want to be James Bond and play with all the cool toys at some point in their life? Being a secret agent is right up there with being a starship captain, jedi, blackbelt, chosen one, etc...
Again, you have done an excellent job! To be fair, I'll always be a MechWarrior, and I love my giant stompy robots bristling with weapons, but that doesn't mean I don't love the idea of the coolest car in the world as well! It really depends on the mood and what I feel like doing at the time.
The Karnov really has an either Nazi Germany or Eastern Bloc kind of feel to it in your pic (not that having a name like Karnov already didn't kind of set it up in my mind.) The cold, gunmetal color of the craft versus the classy red sportscar of the Rotunda only further enforces the Cold War era thoughts, with images of the patriotic free world trying to evade the cold, military machine of communism.
For me, being military and growing up in the tail end of all that, it evokes some strong childhood nostalgia, which is always a big bonus!
Thanks again for sharing your work, it is always a great pleasure!
