Bendy could hear the Person draw close, “Show time” he whispered. He began growing larger in size, and his bottled up anger began to boil.

He jumped out from behind the doorframe letting out a piercing screech “COME HERE HEN-“ he paused hearing a small high picthed scream. Snapping to reality, the cartoon devil looked down and noticed that, instead of Henry, a child was there. The toddler stared in horror and started to cry at the state of the demon.

“Wh-what?” Bendy stuttered “You’re not-“ he went to reach a hand out to the kid, but instead the kid ran off in terror.

“No! Wai-wait! Hold up!” He cried “How did…you…”. Putting his insanity to the side, bendy decided to go after the kid. But he realised he wasn’t in the best condition to run after him, and decided to change into something more friendly.

“Jeez,I haven’t looked like this in ages” he said, back in his original form. Bendy started looking around, checking every room on his way, “Hello? Little guy? Where are you?” he called out. There wasn’t as many rooms on the first floor, so it didn’t take bendy too long to find the little tyke.

He was in one of the projector rooms, curled up on the floor weeping. Bendy quietly tipped toed to the entrance and stared at him, “Uh..hey there pal..” He said slowly. The kid noticed him fast, and began to wine. “Away!” He cried “Away away!”. Bendy stood still, “No no, I won’t hurt ya..” He tried to take a step, but the kid became more terrified and moved away, whining louder.

Bendy sighed and sat crossed legged on the floor. He wasn’t sure what to do, his knowledge about children was rusty. They both sat there and stared at each other. “H-hey…..I’m sorry for spooking ya. I didn’t know you where there.” He said softly, trying to reassure the child from a distance. “I thought…you where someone else..” The young child sniffed, “I don’t believe you..” He said, still traumatised. “Oh I-i am! I don’t lie.” Bendy said calmly, he raised his hand in the air a little “Devils Promise”

The kid was quiet for a moment, he wiped his tears away and looked at bendy “Okay-y”.

Bendy got up, and extended his hand for the kid and helped him up. “Can I make it up to you?” Bendy asked, “Anything you want” he paused “..from here of course”.

The demon walked across the room, towards the shelf. “I swear there was some old film with some episodes on them” he mumbled, instead he found a plush on the side and turned to the kid. “Do you want one of these?” He asked, the kid smiled but shook his head “No”. Bendy went to lean on the projector to think, but actually slipped and turned it on.

Upon the screen was himself, doing a little dance. The kid stared at the screen, then at bendy on the floor. Screen, bendy, screen, bendy, screen.

“Do that” He said to bendy, pointing at the screen. Bendy got up and had a look, “Oh! You want me to dance?” He said surprised. Heck, bendy hasn’t done anything like that in years. “Um…sure pal” he dusted his knees “Though…I’m a little rusty”

“I don’t mind” said the kid, “I a-am no good at it too”. Bendy smiled, and stood straight “Okay..okay” he said, before having a go at something close to a tap dance. The kid laughed as bendy tried more dance moves and stood next to him. The kid started to follow his moves a little, and bendy chuckled. “Wow, you’re pretty good at it buddy” bendy said cheerfully, “You can dance!”

“You are better” he replied, bendy blushed. “Aw, thanks…” They continued to goof around for a bit before bendy realised that this kid had to go home.

“How’d you get get here? Is your mummy and daddy around?” Bendy finally asked. “Uhh” the kid thought for a moment “yes”. “Well you Gotta go back buddy, this place isn’t exactly the best place to stay in” he replied, worryingly.

“..I don’t want to! Mummy and daddy are boring.” Huffed the kid, becoming agitated. Bendy crouched down to the kids level, and smiled “Well, you got to. You have a family….They are probably worried about you” The kid raised his head a little, rubbing one of his eyes.

“Will you come with me?”

The ink demon blinked. A lot of other thoughts went through his head, but he quickly remembered that the floors near the exit where pretty risky to step on, “Oh. Sure pal!”

The kid beamed, and waddled out of the room. Bendy quickly walked to him “Stay next to me though, alright?”

It didn’t take them that long to find the exit, and bendy made sure none of the floorboards collapsed. The kid looked at the posters again, and he turned to bendy.

“Did you do that?” He asked.

Bendy had look at one of them, and smiled the sudden wave of nostalgia off, “Yeah.. I did”. “Was it fun?” the kid asked again.

“Yes” bendy mumbled.

There was a silence.

Bendy’s smile become more nervous.,“Well! Guess it’s goodbye then?”. The kid looked up surprised, “Aren’t you coming with me??”

“I…uh…don’t think I can leave”

The kids face scrunched up, as if he was going to start whining again. “No no! Hey. Im sorry, but I can’t leave.. I’m really sorry” the demon said, trying to calm him down. The kid rubbed both of his eyes this time, and sniffed.

Bendy remained still, unsure on what to do. He tried remembering, but everything so far back became foggy.

But one thing did come to his head.

The demon hesitated, but went for it anyway. He carefully wrapped his arms around the kid, and gave him a light hug. To his surprise, the kid hugged back. Bendy immediately looked at the kids shirt. Ink was all over it. “Shoot! I’m so sorry! I knew this would happen” bendy groaned and rubbed his face in frustration “Your mummy is going to be mad at me”

“I won’t tell” he said, mimicking the hand raise “Devils promise”. Bendy laughed in return.

Another silence

Bendy sighed, and opened the the door. “Well, I don’t know what else ta say. I guess just walk around until you hear your parents..okay?”. The kid nodded and squeezed out through the door. He stopped and quickly turned back to bendy.

“Thank you Mister Bandie”

Bendy gave him an awkard smile, “ah, close enough buddy” he said chuckling.

“Bye bye” the toddler said, before waddling off.

Bendy watched him leave, his smile faded.

“Bye Bye” he mumbled. Closing the door slowly.

So earlier on today, I randomly thought up this alternate universe (maybe not). Where a this 4 year old ends up stumbling into the workshop (maybe sometime before Henry arrives) and bendy spooks him too early. I imagine bendy getting kinda startled by this other visitor. So, he scares the kid a little too much and the poor baby screams and runs off. Surprised, bendy decides to put his insanity aside and apologise to the kid. I was going to draw how this plays out but I figured maybe later. Maybe I could write it out? I like writing stories so maybe if you guys want to read something I'll actually put a dialogue in this piece.
