Description Omfg it's one of my childhood heroes brought to paper!

Atreyu from the Neverending Story (played by Noah Hathaway)

I drew the scene with the Sphynxes and I would highly recommend to watch it:

I both read the book and watched the movie. Atreyu was one of my favourite characters, but there is a big difference in his appearance in the book and the movie. As long as I remember, in the book his skin was green(?)
You drew him so well, I like his thoughtful glance and the Auryn around his neck

Oh, I love that film! I was very young when it was made, but I watched later, and I loved it immediately! And the music ... and the book! I read the book 10 years ago and I found it fascinating, so mature compared to the film! But the film is part of my youth ... This is a very good work, congrats and thank you for sharing ^^

Oh yes, the music is wonderful! I love Klaus Doldinger's skills very much!
Also, I've read the book as well and I must say they did very good with the movie to the book, even though they've made a view changes.
Must be because it was in the 80s when it was produced and they couldn't make things how they were described in the book.
My sister was in the Bavaria Film Studios and was allowed to write on Falkor

Thank you very much for those kind words And you're very welcome!

Hey, thank you very much for the llama <3
Regarding the differences between the book and the movie, I think they wanted to make a children film, and the book was too "adult". I think it was just a choice, but this is only my point of view. I wouldn't change a thing of the movie, anyway! And I envy your sister ...
Have a nice Sunday, see you ^^

Yeh, I guess you're right. They did great with the book and movie; i wouldn't change a single thing either.

You too, thank you! See ya!

That was a good film. I always remember both Gmork (he used to freak me a bit) and Falkor (who could forget a dragon with a dog's head? )

Loving the lighting and shading effects as well as Atreyu's facial expression.
His eyes and hair are very striking too.

Fantastic work all round.
Love and faves.

As a child I've always loved Gmork because I thought he was cute XDDD I was a little different than other children, I guess; Since my sister hated Gmork as well
And Falkor is fucking adorable! He reminds me of a shih tzu Luckdragons for the win

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it

No worries, and nothing wrong with been different.
If we were all the same, the world would be very boring and we'd still be sitting around a campfire at the entrance of a cave somewhere.

Luckdragons for the win, indeed.
I love that scene near the end where he scares off the bullies.

You're most welcome.

True that!

Oh yessss! I dreamed of that as a little kid! If that would have been a real thing, it would have been great! xD For me and my mind.

I would have loved that as well. Been bullied sucked big time - would have been fantastic to scare them off while riding a dragon.
