Another random adventure while doing comic cons. This one was really awkward because I felt kinda guilty but also kinda mad. Some people say I was selfish because maybe they were really poor and others say I was in the right to stand my ground. I felt bad but still..who asks for stolen stuff for free??Drawn in Pencil with come cleanup and shading in Photoshop

Oh my god this gives me rage, what lazy parenting is THAT!!! Thieves are jerks and allowing the child to think it's an ok thing to do just because they really want the item, is the worst thing to teach. SMH the human race never ceases to disappoint me somehow. . .

Yeah i was pretty shocked myself over the whole thing! I wanted to give them some advice but then again i didn't want a fight... just give me back the book and they can learn a hard lesson later when hes older and in trouble with the law heh

You know I was actually ready to make a scene and scream out "watch out for this family they steal your stuff!!" if the guy wanted to start something...but in the end I think he was kinda aware his kid was in the wrong but still tried to back him up and make me give him the book with guilt, but when I still didn't budge I think he knew I was gonna make this more awkward if he didn't just stop and give it back ...I was glad he didnt wanna fight! I would have called security!

Doesn't it cost a bit just to even attend a Comic-Con? I think you can write this idea off as untrue, this guy was just a shitty person. Unless it was a con with no entry fee, then possibly, but even then it's still shitty.
Good for you for standing your ground, someday we will destroy this line of entitled thinking.
Also, if you've got Reddit, this would go perfectly with r/EntitledParents , it's right up their alley.

Yeah most con do have any entry fee but I have also done some with free entry too...I almost believed they couldn't afford until i heard the ice cream comment because i knew that the ice cream booth was $8 HAH. And that's just comic con food prices you eat and its gone while for $10 you get a book to keep forever XD

He did! I almost fell for it too...because i have empathy for kids and for people with low income...but the kicker was that the kid stole the comic and in my deepest guts I couldn't let him have anything for that.
