Fibble and Sin
Another digital painting practice. This time I was influenced by a challenge to do a caricature pic of someone real or fictional. Basically if they are real then make them cartoons and if they are cartoons then draw them real. So I picked Fibble and Sin from my comic of course
and tried to imagine what they would look like if real (or semi-real). I was unhappy with my last "real" attempt I did with Clash last year [link] so I've been painting digitally a LOT. I just don't post any of it....well except for that decaying cow picture. So I sat down and drew this (about 16 hours)!

this is a question that has been on my mind for a while, why are Fibble's eyes different colors?

Well the red-ish eye is really a burnt dark brown that just looks red :b and they were the natural colors of his two eyes. But there is a condition called "hetrochromic eye" if you suffer from extreme trauma or injury to the eye, the iris (the color part) can be damaged and the natural color depletes...this means the color of the eye turns pale white or deep yellow. You can see an example of it here: [link] Fibble got his yellow eye from a very VERY bad fight with Sin a while ago...(something mentioned in more details later in the comic story that I dont want to spoil) but yeah Sin did a lot of injury to Fibble that day and his damaged yellow eye is now a permanent scar of that.

Woah, I love the way Sin came out, but Fibble... I think it's his teeth. It still looks really good however!

fibble somehow looks scarier than sin tho hehe
I like the design on sin a lot. I think its because he couldnt look more dead and creepy and you added all of these elements to it, like his white eye and THE LACK OF a nose (cause for some reason thats the first thing to go when an animal passes away)
anway great stuff. 16 hours of well worth work

I admire how Fibbles skin survives all the bites, scratches and tightens XD!
And I dunno why, but I like the texture of the hair used on this picture.
Now, if he wanted Sin out of his shoulder, he would just have to pet him, right? XD

yeah hes got a lot of gashes and knicks though :b and his skin is bruised in spots! And thanks! The hair was the most time-consuming part to draw
