Did this painting for a Valentines Show here in San Francisco! The piece features a Heart Eater demon. These little guys are about the size of a chicken and have a row of protruding teeth that they use to latch on to a victim's neck. They borrow a deep hole into the neck and then wiggle down the person's esophagus to get to the heart and eat it.If they cannot get to the neck they also have two sharp stub arms with serrated bone on the bottom. This acts like two tiny knives that they can pierce into a chest and saw past the rib cage to get at the heart as well. They tend to hang around all parts of Hell, but you will find them prominent in torture pits or places where dismembered bodies will be plentiful.
The rabbit centipede is a scavenger demon who usually hang around demon snakes and eat thier lice in exchange for blood puddles to drink from. This one Heart Eater is announcing his intention to go eat some hearts and the rabbit centipede takes notices in glee! It will follow the heart eater in hopes of getting some yummy puddles of blood to drink up in the aftermath haha.

I would not want to meet these guys at all. Also, how do they bury themselves into the victim's neck if they are the size of a chicken? Cartoon logic taken to the extreme?

Hahaha perfect tune :b Its more like drilling a huge hole into your neck and i imagined a small chicken (like a squab size!) that can rip into your neck and fit pretty well! haha I'd have to do some tests to prove this theory but that...is not legal heh

Oh, I thought it was declaring affections for this rabbit centipede that transcend race and gender. As well as a desire to express its affection physically by engaging in unspeakable, filthy carnal acts one could only bear witness to in the depths of hell. So how does it eat the heart? Where's the lower jaw? Does it have a proboscis with a sharp beak at the end?

LMAO! No, sadly there is no carnal acts in this one haha I had to keep it PG for the show....only the impeding doom of an eviscerated victim in the near future. Thats very PG in my book! :b
also no lower jaw, think of it more like a mouth with teeth coming from all sides....like a leech I guess! at the moment his mouth hole is closed so the teeth are just sitting outside on the gums. I should draw a more detailed bio of this creature like I did with my "hand puppet demon". hmmmm...
