Skitzo the Bear...the key-chain!
Considering how rare it is that I actually sculpt anything, I'm happy with how it came out even if he does look a little too short and chubby for my tastes haha. But yes, the story begins a week ago as I was in a store, and while looking at some toys I got the crazy idea of pulling them apart and rebuilding it into a custom key chain...so after cutting some limbs and building on the figure with Sculpey and then cooking it all, I dipped the whole thing in a black latex coat and painted it into a Skitzo figure. I made this just for fun...but one day who knows maybe I will actually be able to make a Skitzo keychain for actual sale based on this thing as a loose prototype heh. Yeah. .. is hard for me to imagine them in 3d sometimes haha. I have to change some design parts of them to make it work. I'm glad it looked ok!

hahaha ahh i wish! But i am not skilled enough to even make a tutorial (since most of this was trial and error and the first one exploded in the oven haha) so I think my direction would lead to disaster XD but thanks!! I'm glad you thought it looked good!

haha yes its starts....well maybe one day! This little guy took me 4 days to make and there is no way I'm going to try making more, it was super hard and time consuming (but very fun and challenging!)

True, but if you get them on mass production one day, you won't have to keep doing them by hand.

ah thanks! yeah doing the paints were a pain in the butt since he was so small and i was using latex paints (which is house paint consistency) and thats like trying to paint with a gooey plastic! haha but glad he turned out looking like skitzo at least XD

Can you tell us what the original figure was?

It was part of a little goblin monster thing with yellow eyes...Im sure hes a famous character in a video game but i never played it so i have no idea who or what hes from beyond that.

not sure about the expert thing...hee hee...
I would try to mould it if I were you. If anything you could mould it and pour melted sculpting wax in to it and then really refine if from there.
You should be able to spray it with Bullseye Shellac and that should keep it from sticking to your mould.
Let me know if you ever need any moulding advice...I'd be glad to help if I can.
