He is smart even though he may not seem like it when he's goofing around with some children once again. If he isn't trying to be entertaining he is serious and observant.

He grew up on a farm and helped his parents a lot there. He always loved his pokemon more than anythung else. When he was old enough he decided to travel around the world and train together with his pokemon. He is some kind of pro at batteling with pokemon and decided to help defeating the evil team right at the start.
