i couldn't resist!my half of an art trade w/ of her character, Piano Keys. one thing led to another & i just had to stick Soul in there too X3
soo~ proud with how this one turned out
i even went and bought a crapload of prisma markers & a white jellyroll for this 
i loveloveLOVE Piano Keys' design! in fact, after i'd finished inking him and moved on to Soul, i was like "duuude! Soul is so boring! his hair is too plain, and his jacket is featureless!"
(i added the stripes as part of the color, i didn't ink them in)oh, and Dad saw the WIP & thought the keyboard was a watermelon
there is shading on the piano, but apparently the scanner ate it >_<

Good work, Excellent work of foreshortening as well as the coloring and shading. In general I have to call this as a great piece of art. I especially like how you made the gave the black keys that glossy texture by leaving in the white spots and lines while you were coloring them. I can't say wit one hundred percent certainty, though you probably should have had the glossiness more toward the other side of the keys. It's a bit hard to tell because the warped angle of the drawing, which for me somewhat skewers my perception of lighting.
Anyway, all in all, I really like it.

thank you so much for that excellent crit! the key shines were actually drawn over the marker using a white jellyroll pen (1st attempt at that technique)
now that you point it out, i probably should have put shines on the other ends too

It's extremely good for a first attempt, way better than anything I can draw normally. Besides, it's little things like this that help us learn and grow. I look forward to seeing what you've got next time you try this style.

Heeey I wanna learn to pay piano tooo~! It looks good and too bad about the shading, I think that it would have looked. You can see a little bit of the shading, if you squint a little, lolz.

yeah, if you tilt the monitor up/crouch by the keyboard & look up, you can more or less see how the original thing looks
