You've seen it on the news before - religious icons appearing in the most unlikely places; Jesus in a tortilla, the 'Virgin Mary' toasted sandwich, the miraculous oil-stain, the Mother Theresa bun etc. etc. Anyway, the whole phenomenon is utterly ridiculous. If YOU were a religious icon, wouldn't you rather appear with dignity -rather than in someone's egg salad on rye? And what of the people who discover these 'miracles' - are they catapulted to a fabulous life of fame and fortune? - Well read on through this thrilling mini-series to find out, following the life of one Eustace Carbuncle, the finder of a miraculous booger. It's just filled with adventure (lie), suspense (lie) and saucy romance (also a lie), and It finishes up with a thrilling conclusion (when I get bored of it)I hope all two of you like it!

I saw a lady on TV swearing up and down that two round notches in her wooden door were the eyes of Jesus. If I were a religious icon, I'd make myself appear on in pee bubbles. That would rock.

Good question, I always assumed there were enough people out there who were either crazy or just determined to get on TV, but it would seem that there aren't enough.

If nothing else, someone will read this thread and become inspired. Then when that person becomes famous, you can track them down and insist they pay you what they owe you. Of course, they will swear it's a miracle from god, and by then this sidewalk bubblegum will have acquired its own cult, and try to beat you to death for questioning the authenticity of their holy relic.

For the sake of irony, they could try to take me out with a baseball bat bearing an imperfection in the grain which resembles the virgin mary...
