Description This is my entry for a Dreamland contest [link] created by

This represents a 'dreamland' because of the various shapes and colours used. Just like a dream can be so varied from night to night, so is this piece, however it is also very repetitive as dreams can be (like falling, and falling and falling and falling). The black lines represent blank spots in the memory of your dream.
It is also loosely bases on the album 'Grace' by Jeff Buckley and the way it seems very dark but at the same time happy.

oh i know...but everywhere i seem to look i am bombarded with digital work which is great but it is just refreshing to see something traditional

Yeah i suppose there is more digital stuff around, but probly because traditional requires scanning or photographing your piece and not everyone has the right equipment. If you're interested I put together a news article on traditional artists that use mainly textas/pens in there works. [link]

i really like the different use of the shapes...at first i thought that all of the color would make this piece unfocused but when i saw it in the large view it's clear that it was constructed with that in mind. the bold lines definitely guide your eyes through the picture
