The background really blends well with the character, which is often a hard thing to get right, you have definitely improved in backgrounds and color theory! ^w^

I'm quite familiar with it, as it sometimes happens to me with some of my artworks.
And yes, drawing the best sketch after many attempts is indeed very satisfying.
