Now that i think on it; does the ghostly figure on show when the head off? can they appear like a looming shadow? can her head grow back once it off?

*chuckles* Spinel's head didn't come off. It shapeshifted. Spinel, of course, having a lot of shards in her, she has a lot of consciousnesses that didn't really ask to be a part of her. Thus, it is basically like she is bursting at the seams sometimes. She'll twitch or spasm and a part of her will 'attempt to' shapeshift into the poor gem trapped inside, before she reverts back with a smile.
I was thinking inside her gem, it kinda looks like the Hinterlands from The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogies Revenge, the videogame. Never played it, but the soundtrack is nice.
