My camera doesn't seem to want to focus on faces lately.
You'll see that a lot when I upload images from my shoot on Monday.
It's kind of driving me nuts. Hopefully the new lens I'm getting for Christmas with help with that.

If your using the lens (15-55 VR Af-S Nikkor) that comes with the body of your D3000 if you push the switch back from A to M you turn off autofocus and then you can focus manually by turning the focus ring.
Saying that you probably know this but just in case that you didn't (very unlikely) that's how to do it manually.

Well, I knew how to do that, but now I've figured out which one
is the focus ring! I was so confused when I first got it. lol

It's no problem I only found out a couple of months ago, when I had a panic attack, my dad started playing with the focus ring when I had it on a tripod and I thought it was broken. Good thing it wasn't, he would of murdered me.
