Description The cold numbness surrounded her, hugging herself tight to try preserve heat. But she has long since lost all hope while the frozen winds continued to strike her as she remained curled up in the powdery snow hoping it will be over soon.

Jake barely heared it, it was so faint like a soft whimpering. The 20 year old looked around trying to find the source until his eyes fell onto a small figure shivering in the snow. Curious as to what it was he got closer realising it was a tiny girl! Jake stared in utter disbelief as the questions flooded into his mind. she looked like she couldn't be any older then 15, her dark brown hair cut to shoulder lenghth and her skin was so pale. he was quickly snapped out of his thoughts when he heared another whimper coming from her. Jake suddenly felt very protective over her and he knew if she didnt recieve help she would surely freeze to death...

The girl looked up, shocked to find a human crouched over her, his green eyes were locked onto her. How had she not notice him approach? She mentally kicked herself as she let another small whimper escaped her lips. She lowered her gaze hoping the human whould just leave her alone but found other wise as she found herself surrounded by a warm leathery surface. Realising he was trying to pick her up she tried her best to struggle against his massive digits. "Easy there little one I'm only trying to help" the human mumbled. N-no what was he going to do to her?! Panic welled with in her but as the warmth seeped into her the little girl started to relax no longer having the energy to fight and let out a sigh of relief.

Relieved that the girl was now calm Jake held her to his chest in an attempt to help walm her up. Gentley running a finger down her side he remained like this until her shivering began to die down. He knew he couldn't leave her here an idea popped into his head hoping she would be alright with it he looked down at her "ok sweatie I have to get you out of the cold so... would you mind if I took you to my home at least until the snow has past?". The girl seemed to consider this for a moment debating whether to trust him or not. Finally she let out a sigh and nodded still looking unsure. A smile crossed Jake's face "ok little one we'll be there soon."
"P-piper" jake looked down in suprise

"I'm sorry but what did you say?"

"M-my names P-piper not 'little one'" the girl squeacked. Jake's smile grew even bigger

"well Piper its nice to meet you my names Jake." Smiling down at her one last time before he started walking in the directing of his home.

As Jake started to walk Piper curled up in his palm basking in the warmth of his flesh looking up at him with curious eyes. He had shaggy black hair and no signs of facial hair in fact he was quite handsome. She didn't know who he was but he has given her an new sense of hope to survive. A smile spread across Pipers face as she was lulled to sleep by the rocking like motion of Jakes walking.

feeling Piper go limp Jake looked down the check on her worried that she lost the battle against the cold but soon let out a sigh of relief as he saw her chest gentley rise and fall with each breath. Looking down at her he knew he had to protect her...

With his home in sight he held Piper close and hoped the poor girl doesn't catch a cold from her time in the snow. reaching the door he used his free hand to unlock the door and entered. His first move was to set Piper down on a pillow by the couch so he could start a fire to warm both Piper and himself.

Piper felt herself being lowered onto a softer surface and soon started to hear the crackling of a fire. Getting comfy where she now layed she soaked in the new found heat and drifted deeper into sleep. She knew Jake had questions but that could wait.

For now she just wanted to rest...

Yes, I did, it was neat. I like help stories, where the giant helps the tiny or the tiny helps the giant. Cool title
