My character has two different color eyed because I'm colorblind to reds and greens in one of my eyes (not fully colorblind but the left one sees them wonky) :>. So it only seemed natural to make each eye different outwardly on my fursona with the two colors I have the most trouble with :3

Actually I'm talking about in general.
For example, in Yu-Gi-Oh, one particular villain had one blue eye and one yellow eye. I'm just wondering why anime artists do that...

I think in anime the main point is to make a character stand out in some way, to outwardly separate them from the norm of japanese society within a series.
