This is what happens when something inspires me...PLEASE FULL VIEW if you can thanks ;3;
I recently got into reading a butt load of One Piece the manga and you have no idea how much something like that can inspire a person but after reading through the CP9 arc and into the newest arc of One Piece I felt I needed to draw ^_^;
I havn't uploaded any recent artwork here because I usually upload it to SA because I'm more active there, but SA is down like usual so I'm uploading this here though I doubt anyone will look cause it's not fan art and it's huge and blah I never upload anything u_u I'm sorry...
These are ALL my characters, every last one of them. Some were made up in the last few years, some of them I've had over 10 years or more now, and the reason they're alltogether in this picture is because at some point they'll appear of be apart of Midnight Journey, the manga I'm working on hopelessly =_=; Also they're all in pencil, this would take me an ETERNITY to ink so it's just going to stay in pencil ^^ I really doubt anyone's going to care, and something like this isn't bound to make front page by ANY means so no worries x___x;
There are 48 characters altogether on there but there are alots of secrets hidden in the picture those of you who sort of know the characters probably know them, but if you have any questions PLEASE feel free to ask ^^ I'd be happy to know people are intersted though I'm highly doubting it...
Midnight Journey and all these characters I poured my heart and soul into are © to me please don't steal them ;_; also.. since I've been inspired by One Piece, expect some fan art in the future and I also plan to cosplay as Usopp AND SogeKing heh ^__^ LOCK ON!

ps yes that Crap-Head Dude at the bottom is just for fun.. LOL it was created not long ago when I tried to draw a younger Dharr and messed it up and didn't want to waste a sketch and viola! I drew him cause I knew my sis would get a kick out of it ^^ LOL

i was wondering how do you come up wit some good characters designs i read books bought manga looked at many imean countless tutorials and i think i'm getting desperate

I like how you can get an instant feel of the characters personality at first glance, most artists seem to have difficulty with that (I know, I'm one of them!). This is awesomeness in a can, dude!

This is absolutely amazing. Your character designs are inspired and kick many many asses. I was blown away by it! I hope that you provide a link to you manga when your done with it or where to buy it because I can't wait to see the story behind all these wonderful characters!

You know what fascinates me about this lineup? I'll tell you! 1: the creativity! All those characters look oh so interesting. 2: the drawings look effortless. I am jealous about that one. I've been trying to draw one of my own characters for the past two days and I keep screwing up, getting frustrated, and starting over so I greatly admire you for being able to draw so many with such skill! You know what I think? I think you should do a tutorial! lol... Wishful thinking? Okay I'll shut up now ^_^

=_= I just wrote a LONG ass comment and it didnt' let me save it ARGAH!!! All I said was that I regret not reading One Piece this whole time since I've kept up with Naruto, though it sucks now and has for a long time ever since it's been more about Sasu-gay than Naruto since Kishimoto's favorite character is Sasuke =_= I HATE Naruto now, but I read it because I want to see how much worse it gets...
with One Piece it just keeps getting better and better, the charactesr that are main characters actually all get involved in some way shape or form (unlike SO MANY of the Naruto charactesr who NEVER get developed) and they show expressions and emotions and in Naruto they NEVER do that anymore unless it's Konohamaru doing the male Sexy-No-Jutsu yaoi show for Sakura or that new girl character I can't stand =_= ugh! Cuase they're all inlove with Sasuke... can't SOMEONE find naruto hot that can actaully speak up, unlike Hinata? UGH!
ok I've ranted too much LOL >< but yeah I'm defiantely glad I got back into One Piece I've missed it and it's VERY Inspring and thank you for being one of the only people who mentioned that! nobody else I think even read the description =_=;

I seriously believe you could become really famous if you keep working hard and make a manga with all these awesome characters. I hope I can be there to see it, and buy your finished published stuff. I really believe in you and look up to you a LOT! and I am not just saying this to say it. You've always been one of my favorite artists on DA. I should look at my SA account more often. I'm missing out on alot of your art most likely..

Honestly, I prefer your original stuff over your fanart anyday. And I'm not just being nice, I'm telling the truth. I encourage you to do more. Crab-Head Dude at the end made me laugh for like 10 minutes. And Kusoul is still hot.

Wow! That's a lot of characters. I've always enjoyed seeing what other people do with character design, because it's really hard to come up with my own. It seems I'm better at illustrating other people's characters than I am at trying to build someone from scratch. Good luck on your comic!

I actaully enjoy drawing other peoples characters too, but I really like to draw my own I hope that doesn't make me selfish >>; heh cause I have always felt lucky to be able to make up my own little guys and draw them LOL ^^ but it is hard to come up with characters sometimes x___x; I have been reusing some of my older characters that I've always liked cause Jack and Short Stuff I probably created back in '96 or '97 heh

That's not selfish! People really don't get famous for fanart, unless they're collaborating with the creator of the characters. XD
I only really have two or three characters that I can really call mine, but most of my "characters" are actually modified self-portraits, so they don't really count.
People that can create so many original characters are special, so don't worry. Be proud of your awesomeness. :3

I don't see how you get so depressed over the way your art looks, because this looks great!
That Crab-head Dude reminds me of Ishida Uryuu a bit, mainly the hairstyle and the way he kinda leans forward... On second though, he could also look like Haku if you gave him a more dress-like outfit...

Hughton Midnight is Drakes older brother ^^ I should've drawn his father, but I didn't feel he was a character that will play a big part except in a flash back or something since he's dead LOL plus I didn't wanna find his ref pic x__x; LOL and naw, Bari still looks mostly the same, I've tried to improve on his look or how I'm drawing him though so maybe his eyes got bigger or something LOL poor Bari... and the Crab guy doesn't so much remind me of Uryuu because when I see the 'bangs' all I can think about is how much after drawing the pinchers and eyes and mouth that they look like crab feet LOL though at some point I really should draw some Uryuu fan art I really like Uryuu ;3; and Chad...
