I really liked this scene and was inspired by it. Would it be alright if I tried and recreated this scene in 3ds Max?

I've actually played Shadow of Collossus! The environments in that game were fricken amazing. Especially the lighting...beautiful. Though I think that the stone on the left side detracts from most of the peice (maybe if there was something on the other side to balance it out?), this is overall very beautiful and an awesome concept.
