Firstly, nice to see your work again.
Two, I live the idea. It almost looks like you stole the nest from the tree and the bird.
How did you come up with the lattice for the over lapped section?
Is it all water colour?

Sorry for the late reply...to answer some of your questions, yes it is all watercolor. The overlapped section is a pattern that can easily be done with a compass or a circle stencil. The pattern is based off the "flower of life" that I have been interested in for some time. I painted each piece carefully to create that color transition. Probably wont do it again because my teacher thinks it looks too much like craft art instead of fine art...he's a purist.

It does look a bit like craft art, at least I can see why it could be called craft art, but it still looks good.
So, so what?
You can still do this if you like it. Just don't show them to him if he doesn't like them.
Some people would just say do what you want, but that doesn't really take into consideration if what you are doing is good or if anyone else likes it like you do.
I think all that is true. Unless you don't like them yourself.
