Personality:
Maverick is known to be feisty, fierce and stubborn to a fault. She is known to be a bit of a trouble maker, deciding to have what most handlers have labeled as a 'mare like attitude'. It is her tendency to have a mind of her own, that has lead to many handlers passing her up. She is hard to trust, and those that she is wary of will generally see the more unruly side of her, considering the amount of hands she was transferred between from weaning age till now. However when she does find someone that she truly trusts, she commits to them loyally, and would do just about anything for them when it comes down to it.

History:
From a young age, Mav was not handled very much. When she was weaned from her mother, she was 'halter broke' in the loosest of terms, and set out to pasture with a few other fawnlings to grow bigger before anything was done with them. When she turned three years old, they began to work with her, though the people that taught her to lead and grow accustomed to the saddle were little more than barbarians, forcing her to do it until she was nearly as ill tempered as their hands were hard. She learned what lashing out got her, however, early, and decided that it was not the route that she wanted to go. Instead she became difficult, wanting nothing to do with the unruly hands that handled her, till they finally grew fed up and sold her. The next handler was much softer, however the young doe was still not convinced, pushing her luck until once again she was sold. The young doe was sold nearly seven times in total, before she was bought by Aurora, when she was four. Aurora was the only one who did not give up on the young doe, never being pushy with her, and always soft and gentle, until the young doe began to come around to her, even enjoy her company. Ever since they have been inseparable, and with Mav becoming more and more broke to the saddle, Aurora is ready to start attempting to show her, unsure what possible category they may go into.
