I think, the effect you are talking about is achieved due to the detailed clear view in the center and absence of focus at the edges) Typical Holga effect)

this is a really amazing shot. i love the vignetting with the black and white. it really gives it a warm old effect that is beyond words. you captured the architecture so wonderfully here that i now really want to go see this place. seriously, this is awesome!
