With the Warptide season coming soon, Saint felt the need to prepare for whatever threat that might be lurking in the outskirts during these days. So his patrols lasted more time than usual, covering as much of the town as possible. Luckily he's not the only one, as many Spite Hunters are also on duty, even if Saint didn't share their badge and wasn't officially appointed as one, he and others like him are more than welcome to offer help.

Thanks to all of them, the civilians were safe to keep celebrating the holidays. Especially the Wynglings, who need them the most. Saint's face melts into a smile every time a kid runs past him, devoid of any fear or worry ness in their faces. It was a reassuring sight.

And it wasn't odd that some of them stop by to greet the armored Biped, he enjoyed their company and laughed with them. And in some cases, they ask for favors.

"Excuse me, sir!"

"Obi, wait! You can't just go around asking the first gro you see!"

Saint turned to the voices behind, two black Wynglings heading towards him, accompanied by a Coatala. He kneeled to better face the newcomers. "Yes! What can I help you with?"

"We were wondering if–"

"Sorry, my sister ran away into the first Adult she spotted," interrupted the boy, grabbing his sister by the arm attempting to leave but to no avail. "We didn't mean to bother."

"Oh not at all, my friends! That's what I'm here for!" Responded Saint with a warm smile. "I am sure I can offer assistance, whatever you need."

"Great! See, Lykos?" Pointed Obi to his brother, then turning back to the Adult, "well, have you heard of the pet contest Miss Kalypso is holding?" She handled a pamphlet to Saint.

The Biped held the paper and read, "Oh so this is what everyone is talking about, no wonder so many pets are out lately," he laughed as he stared at the Coat. "I suppose you are planning to take part with yours, hm?"

"Yes, but there's a problem..."

"We went to Kalypso but she didn't let us enter because we're missing two members, and one of them has to be an Adult," continued Lykos, placing a claw on his sister's back. "That's why Obi ran out in search of any Adult, we live in the Nook so we can't just ask Alma."

"I understand," mused Saint. The Nook head is already too busy handling the house along with a small group of Adults helping around, so going to such an event wasn't a possibility. "Well, I can keep an eye on you two while you enjoy the event."

"Really?!" Exclaimed both siblings, surprised by the answer.

Saint rose up to his feet and nodded, "Yes, there are enough Hunters patrolling around so I suppose I can take a break and help you, little birds!"

Obi cheerfully jumped and chirped, circling around Saint. "Thank you so much, sir!"

The Biped laughed at the kid. "Please, call me Saint! And you are Obi, if I heard right, yes?"

"Yes! And this is my brother Lykos!" The Coat meowed at Saint's feet, "oh! And that's Leo!"

"It is a pleasure to meet you!"

The crew kept talking and discussing about the contest, and their words reached an eavesdropping Wyngling not far from them.

Kids seem to be drawn to him, and some pets too pfft how can u say no to those cute faces, Saint
