This is an early drawing of mine, done fairly quickly, in about 6 hours. The monkey on the left was a breeze but the other one took up most of the time and effort. Terrible quality picture mostly because I smudged this one beyond belief. We live and we learn huh.Related content

Thanks, this was just me farting about with pencils and a cruddy quality paper sheet and went well enough to rekindle my interest in drawing.
Smudging is the bane of my life...I even smudge when I'm painting, well smearing would be a better word for it. I can never work in an organised way. A little bit here and a little bit there. I'm not very disciplined with technique

Must admit whenever I use pencil I have a piece of spare paper under my drawing hand so I don`t get covered in graphite - one of the few useful things I learned at art college!
To really drive him crazy I just stop a piece a few minutes from fnishing as I`ve got fed up with it and it can wait years for the last ten minutes

I started drawing a chimp baby the other day and it was going OK, but my interest in it waned over night, so now I'm working on the painting. It drives Kirk crazy, that and the fact that I am never 100% satisfied with the finished product...WHEN I finish it that is
