Description ~Zueuk 's fractals were the ones that originally inspired me to try creating fractal art myself. Now that I've been using Apophysis for a couple of years, I wanted to try and create a similar effect to the one he did with his Counterspell series. This one turned out slightly differently to how I had planned, though, and it reminds me of an object burning up as it enters the atmosphere of a planet.

Very nice, chris. These always have a...biological feel to them. I don't know why. I'm so weird.
I love the colors and the feeling of motion. It is great.

Thanks Jess. I know what you mean about the biological feel - I suppose it might be because fractals occur so often in nature, without us even noticing, most of the time. Trees, snowflakes, coastlines and even broccoli all exhibit fractal properties. As for the motion, that's caused by the radial blur, a variation I'm having a lot of fun with at the moment. I'm glad you like it.

Oh yes...fractals are all around us. It is just this type...the ones with the pretty shapes within shapes...and the sort of "feelers." I don't know. You do a good job.

Thank you very much. I guess I can't take much credit for the design itself, but I learned quite a few things about radial_blur and colour speed through making it.
