I coloured him based off my budgie when I was a kid, who was a cute, friendly and beautiful little fella.

It's so nice that you've immortalized him in your art! I did the same with the childhood pet birds we had. I was always drawing birds as a kid

His story was rather interesting. He was found when he flew down and landed on a guy shoulder at a construction site, scaring the bejesus out of the guy. The little guy wouldn't fly away and hung out with the construction worker all day. The guy took him to my friend who owned a pet store and she gave him to me to find his owner. His previous owner couldn't be found, but he was unusually nice for a budgie. Someone must have really loved him before he got loose.
