at first i didn't really like this, and then i looked closer and now i see this is more fitting for him. getting rid of the blood and teeth and shadowed effect was very nice and works very well now.

He's like a cosmic horror peeling himself away from the stars to drop Hell on earth. Though, to be honest, the original page is more endearing to me. You could only see patches through all the red and darkness; it gave a more menacing feel. Despite my preferences, this is a great page.

Not being a hater or anything but I don't think young discord should have a long beard because it makes him look too old even though he is possibly older than Celestia. He should either have a really short beard or a soulpatch. Just a thought.

I'm just following the fandom. I have seen "young Discord" with no wrinkles and a very short, sometimes black, beard or in some like Heaven's Light [link] where he has no beard making him look even younger. It may not be fully accurate but this is what was made.
Also according to this specific story and the Youtube (SPOILER ALERT [link] ), Discord, self-conscious about his horrific appearance, kind of lived in the shadows. It was until he fell in love with Celestia that he decided to show his face again. When he saw that she was "no different than the rest" is when he took the crown of Ruler of Disharmony.

I know all about those. I like the novelty of making characters looks different. But I'm not ecstatic about such things and making them instantly head-canon.

I see. You don't mind the other fan-made characters, you just don't like them being "official". You don't like the idea of only one being the "orignal". I agree. There are some people who flip tables at anyone who makes any slight changes to these "official" characters. I mean, if you don't like something, change it. Unless they are the original creator, they have no right to get upset and tell them how they should modify them.

What I don't like is the community's over-enthusiasm of taking one small, completely fan-made idea, and enforcing that idea... And if anyone has a different opinion, they start whining and complaining that it should be THEIR way and opinion.
