So I had a day off today, and decided to do nothing but sit around the hotel and vent artistically…
So here we have a discouraged Diblet… struggling, not only with the fear of Irken Invasion on his shoulders alone, but also his mixed emotions about Tak.
…Yes, I have just as many TaDr headcanons as I do ZaGr… Hope to get them all down on paper someday…

I don't think I can express how much I adore this piece.
First of all, the artist's design for Dib is both adorable, unique but spot on. Highlighting his boots and coat, I don't know, but there's something about the design I really like compared to every other take on him.
The background, the detail, the lighting, the wires scattered everywhere, it's incredible. It perfectly sets the tone to both the scene and song.
The song, also, it's almost perfectly for Dib as well, both, as mentioned, about being the self-proclaimed "sole defender of Earth" and his possible mixed feelings about another individual from a species he's suppose to be fighting. Most of all, the feelings of being alone in his situation, with almost nothing but a stranded ship to help him (in the comics, specially, he uses to travel to and from space and yet it shows it does not like him but he doesn't have another option).
If you do or have written down your TaDr headcanons, I would love to read them. The whole "internal dilema" about the possibility of them, specially from Dib's point of view, is one of my favorite ship trope/dynamics.
Again, I love how the songs fits so well not only into the tone of the art but the character as a whole (when not focused on simply dark humor like the original creator likes it and it's more of a treat for us fans). I like this piece a lot. Very well done.

Beautiful and elegantly done! I don't ship Dib and Tak, but I can easily see how it's loved and why it would work (I'm ZaDR lol so ya know), and this drawing is just excellent and really gets the feelings across!!! Excellent

Oh wow this is amazing, the coloring, the expressions on Dib's face, just wow.
I'm no fan of Tak but I do believe the mixed feeling Dib has for her are justified.

Oh many many things... Lol. But I imagine it would start when Dib cracks a com link on Tak's ship and they begin communicating for the first time since she left. At first they'd be a bit at odds with one another, but being that Dib is repairing and taking care of her ship, and they both have it out for Zim, Tak allows herself to be somewhat charmed by Dib and his attempts to reason with her. She promises a truce. They begin working together. Perhaps she ended up marooned somewhere without her ship so Dib helps her out and even harbors her on earth for a while. Though they are a good team for a while, Tak's ambitions and desire to impress the Tallest still lead her to backstab Dib once she has her ship and dibs resources to regain a foothold on earth...
anyway yeah... Lots of ideas. Lol
