Description
As transient as mist, the little beasts of the eastern forests are elusive, and have the cunning of a Fae, and none more so then the Jiachaphant. Many see them casually mingling through the bamboo groves, but once you let your eyes off them, they seem to immediately vanish into the air, which isn't far from the truth. Jiachaphants can jump and spin through the air, nearly as graceful as a bird in flight, and to top off their getaways, they can phase into the Fae Realm with ease. Their ties with magic are incredibly strong. They were known in the past for plucking flowers from gardens and nabbing fruit from orchard trees before leaping into the air and fading away like a mirage. Though regarded as thieves, they are said to be playful with children, and were even welcome into palace gardens when heirs were being raised. They are said to pass on their abilities to children they play with, teaching them to walk between realms. Folk stories also told of orphans being taken into Jiachaphant herds, becoming feral shamans as they grew up. Jiachaphants are said to have a hiding place in the Fae Realm; a sparkling lake surrounded by hills of flowers, and any who befriend them are welcome to this sanctuary. The mighty God Queen who travelled the world in ancient times was said to go there to meditate on her greatest of problems.
