Could you release the pattern for the Apron?

This costume is 6+ years old. I don't have it anymore.

Do you have a video or more detailed tutorial on how the syringe was made?Β
π: 0 β©: 1
Cospigeon In reply to AthenaRaine [2015-02-16 04:57:06 +0000 UTC]
Nope. But it was really low-tech, so I can explain in detail here:
- Gather random junk indicated in the picture (words and arrows pointing to the syringe parts).
- Use epoxy putty to stick everything together.
- Mask the clear part of the water bottle with masking tape and newspaper.
- Spray-paint it gold.
- Use watered-down black acrylic paint to antique it (search βpaint antiquing techniquesβ)
- Remove masking from bottle.
- Unscrew the bottle canister from the top, stuff a bunch of bubble-wrap and an LED tea-light in there, and screw the canister back in.
- Done.

bodyline ran out of the l058 style in blue, but do you think thatΒ bodyline l448 would be a good alternative?
π: 0 β©: 1
Cospigeon In reply to AngelsBunnies [2013-09-01 20:16:13 +0000 UTC]
No; L448 has a sailor collar.
You'd want to get a dress that has a white peter pan collar, such as L511, L230, L172.

Since I've already answered this question twice, I'm just going to make something up this time:

Where on earth did you get a gas pump handle

EevilOverlord [2010-11-02 09:58:49 +0000 UTC]
wicked cool!!
So, when you dye something with tea....you just put the tea in, right? [would hate to have to wash out the tea leaves. >_<] Never used tea before. LOL
And where in the *heck* did you find a gas pump handle?? O_o
π: 0 β©: 1
Cospigeon In reply to EevilOverlord [2010-11-06 06:28:41 +0000 UTC]
Yup, you just boil up a pot of water and toss a couple bags of tea in. I like to let it steep for a bit before I put the fabric in. XD
found the handle for me at an antique store.
