Description

The Earth Union flight helmet was put into service around the same time as the MkIII full combat helmet, using similar design principles and materials. The design was submitted and produced by Protective Solutions LLC, with later production farmed out to other companies to meet the military's demand.

The helmet had two primary variants. The above-pictured version was "vacuum" model, designed for use in combination with full flight suits for operations in space. The second version was the "standard" model, generally built with less-tight tolerances and intended for use by pilots and flight crews operating in atmosphere.
