Description
Time for another ship. Here, crowds stream towards the mothballed fleet repair ship HMS Berry Head (A191) at Devonport Navy Days, UK, in 1980. A 'Fort' type ship, she was built in Vancouver, being completed in June 1945, just before the end of World War II. Note the protective 'cocooning' on the funnel. She survived until 1990 before being sold for scrap. Scanned from a 35mm transparency.
