hmm...I'll admit, this pic isn't exactly of a wolf [link] but the reference was used
However, I am using som other photos of yours and they'll be proper, realistic (well, as close as I can get it) paintings...

many of these were taken at a sanctuary.
[link] they do great work for the conservation and education about wolves.

I do have a 300mm lense though, which helps immensly in getting some of the close ups.
