Description
The first illustration in my Earth 101 series. With Superman I wanted him to be kind of rugged looking, to indicate that he's still a country boy, but also still have him look like a really nice guy. I reimagined his symbol to be more alien looking and added the color white into his color scheme His powers are the same, but I decided to add a little twist to them. In the comics Superman gets his abilities from the Earth's yellow sun. So, I thought it would be cool if he had to absorb solar radiation in order for his powers to work which is why he has short sleeves and an open collar.
