Description This is Phaerlaa ( fae-er-lah) From my Stable in HorseArt
She is the spectral offspring of my Scythe stallion.

Sire: Scythe
Dam: Luna
Height at maturity: 15.2hh
Sex: Filly

She is swift and graceful, but easily angered.

She has the stamina of her sire, and moves like her dam.

She can run through the forests without making a sound. This drawing is a view of her as both a filly, and as a mature Mare.

I also plan to use her for the mascot contest!

Done on bristol, and with Prismacolors.

You may use her colors, but not the stripes. That is part of her trademarks, as is her horns and such.

ok thanks, would it be ok if i did dun like markings on the legs instead of the back and all? and i hate when people take my ideas so i thought i'd do what I wish others could do and ask.

Thankees! The foal is also Phaerlaa, as a filly! She didn't get her stripes until she became mature.

Ya i just cant get over the way you coloured it! You used coloured pencils right? I bought some special coloured pencils today and now im going to colour my pic in!

You see drawings like yours really make me want to0 draw and be good at it, almost like a role model. But now im trying to come up with my own ideas with drawing. You see i can draw i just don't have and Ideas!! lol

Yeps...I used prismacolors, which blend very easily, and are exceptionally vibrant. I am flattered to be a role model!

As with all my drawings, I love to add some shimmer...and every time, the scanner devours it. Yes, she has Gold highlights on her hooves and horns. Thanks so much for the comment!

Thanks! The stripes weren't apparent in either her sire or dam, but I guess with Spectrals, you never know what you'd get!

Horn, head, tail AMAZING - contours, muscles shading etc beautiful, lerft hind hoof... looks quite odd; too small, the wrong shape. Yellow background with purple horses makes my eyes hurt. oooh, anklehorns!

I know...that hoof bugs me too! But I used a photo reference, of a lying down horse for the hooves, and it looks just like that. I dunno....I am always looking for different, and unusual angles.

Ah, yes, the off hind hoof... It's tricky to make it look convincing when drawn - even though it appeared just so in the reference picture. I think at such times, a considerable application of artistic license doesn't go amiss.

Sometimes it get so frustrating. I swear, I must have erased, and re-drawn at least 8 times! Its a good thing that Bristol Board is so tough!
