Description
Dodongo only nest in or near molten environments, and cannot survive long periods in cooler areas. Without heat and a regular source of volcanic gases, the Dodongo eventually will become sickly. Its rocky hide will loose cohesion and begin to crumble; eventually the creature will perish.

Younger Dodongo are able to survive longer when away from volcanic regions. Young adult males will often exodus from their home nests in order to claim a new territory for themselves.
