I love these two. Especially Papyrus, the little cinnamon roll. I just love him so much I want to hug him, squeeze his little cheeks, skulk around his porch in the dead of night sniffing his garbage, stuffing dead mice through his letter box, chloroform him, dump him in the trunk of an old cadillac, smuggle him across the Mexican border, ply him with Zolpidem, stuff him and mount him on the mantelpiece. But I digress.

What I tried (ineptly) to do here is try and contrast the two's differing personalities through using clashing art style. While he's often shown as super friendly, buddy-buddy to Frisk I've always found there's something intriguingly sinister about Sans. He never really warms up to Frisk, we're never truly sure where his loyalties lie and even if you manage to finish the game there's still a lot of mystery surrounding the chubby wee bugger that's never truly solved. I tried to reflect this by giving him more angular, threatening features and making his design more complex and detailed to offset Papyrus's more cartoonish depiction. While I do suspect Papyrus is somewhat smarter than he lets on I used simpler tones and gaudier colours to reflect his peppy, upbeat and trusting personality.

Also my steam effects are still a load of s***e.
