As a fellow crocheter, how did you do that hair??

Basically what I do is make a long weft (wig making term for a row) of hair, and then sew that weft onto the head into the needed shape. The weft is made by crocheting over the yarn with embroidery floss with a size B hook.
I'm actually thinking about making a tutorial on the process I do for my dolls instead of patterns (cause I'm crap at pattern making), but I know I'm not the only one to use this method. If that would be something you'd find useful please let me know.

I wasn't really trying to make him look like anyone particular I'm afraid, lol, just the original character design. My friend think he actually looks like Ryan Reynolds O.o
