Well this piece took two days to finish on top of everything else but I'm pretty damn proud of it Though the glowing effect I still need to practice but I think it's pretty damn awesome considering

Btw the background is a stone wall, this is what we're seeing inside her mind, since I can imagine this curse being more effective if you can still think but not move and the curse would revive old bad memories to fill you with regret and misery.

...being alone with your thoughts isn't always a good thing...

Also, you're probably wondering why I drew/painted Kalus like this, well it's a long story but it shows all the suffering she had to grow up with thanks to her own mother and Kameo, though they didn't do it purposely.

So we all know Kalus was meant to take the throne, right?

Well before all that, she had to do training ever since she was a child, so her whole life she had been training, studying and practicing magic in preparation for taking over the throne. Because of this, she wasn't allowed that much time around her own parents and her tutors would drag her away but her father, King Solon, always managed to play with Kalus despite this and she was happy.

However, the Mystic told Solon that his dearest friend(The one who trained him how to use the elements of power and elemental warriors)in the Twycross(Very far away place) was in danger and that he had to leave immediately without telling anyone where he went. Because his friend was in danger, he took off immediately but when he arrived, everything was fine and his friend Terramus(I think that's his name) was playing with his baby granddaughter(Kameo) before Thorn leaped out of hiding with his troll war lords and attacked but Terramus stood between them blocking Thorn's attack while still holding his granddaughter Kameo. (Btw that was not her name, it was Ariel)

Before Thorn gave the fatal strike, Solon who was unable to help his friend, was able to snatch Kameo out of his friends arms before he was killed. In a fit of rage, he used all ten elemental warriors to curse Thorn,(while still holding Kameo) turning him to stone but this drained his life-force and he literally disappeared after that, the elements of power(The red jewel we see on Kameo's forehead/tiara in game) fell into Kameo's tiny hands.

The elemental warriors reverted to sprites since Solon was gone and the wotnot was damaged but the troll war lords panicked and snatched both the wotnot and five of the sprites before fleeing, not bothering to check Kameo who had the elements of power. Once they left, the remaining sprites returned and took Kameo to the enchanted kingdom, scaring Kalus while alerting the ancestors and the queen.

Theena adopted Ariel and named her Kameo, once discovering that she had the jewel, knew that something had happened to her husband and grieved.

For Kalus, this meant that while she was forced to study and was constantly dragged away from her mother, Theena gave Kameo all of her attention and favoured her, still grieving the loss of her husband and king.

Kameo, as she aged, began to outshine Kalus at everything and became popular because of the 'happy laughter' that always surrounded the adopted princess. Kalus became bitter because of her mother's ignorance and neglect but she knew that the one thing she had spent her whole life striving for(Despite being forced into it) would make up for everything. The throne to the Enchanted Kingdom and the Elements of Power, what had belonged to her father.

Until the Mystic lied about the vision she had, so this meant Kameo got the one thing she had spent her whole life training for, just handed to her unfairly since Kameo was not only adopted, but younger and had absolutely no training like Kalus had to endure for her entire life.

Both heart-broken and enraged, Kalus fled the kingdom to the Twycross with intent of freeing Thorn, unaware that her father gave up his life to seal the Troll King away forever.

So that's why I do not blame Kalus at all for snapping like she did, she could have gone about it differently but after what she's gone through, I don't blame her in the least.
