This reminds me of a part of a book called the Clockwork Angel. In order to break into a sacred church inhabited by Nephilim, or sons of Angels, an army of robots had to use Angel blood to open the doors. One of the robots attacked one of the younger Nephilim and covered its claws in his blood, then proceeded to force the doors open.
This is like the exact thing. Awesome work!
