Description Here you can see the mounted ERA blocks, the periscopes for the pilot and commander.  A GAU-12 rotary cannon, Mk-18 automatic grenade launcher, and Hellfire missile launcher are mounted as exchangeable weapons packs alongside the perpetual chin mounted 3mm cannon. Longbow radar along with an advanced targeting equipment and Distributed Aperture System (DAS) are used to maximize the data available to the crew, allowing the walker to conduct reconnaissance while loitering on station.

With no rotor to worry about, the back of the M227 bristles with sensors, antennae and countermeasures, mounting them as high as possible for the purposes of reconnaissance.

Like the F35, the crew of the M227 Wampanoag "Wamp" uses the DAS and Helmet Mounted Cueing System (HMCS) fusion to see "through" the armored hull, allowing them to lock any target in any direction and  using the  Apache Aviator Integrated Helmet (AAIH) aim their weapons by simply looking at their target. This configuration allows pilots to engage targets even when the mech is moving at a full sprint.
